Cavalier Baseball in 2008 The Eau Claire Cavaliers open their 38th Season on the road for a Doubleheader at Coon Valley on May 24th starting at 1:00PM. They return home for their Home Opener on Monday May 26th against Austin Blue Sox in a Doubleheader starting at 1:00 PM. This is the first time in the 37 year history of the Cavaliers they have not opened at home with the St. Paul Merchants whose team is playing in an over 35 league and opted not to play us this year. What a great tradition and rivalry that will be missed and we wish them well. Then we travel to Sparta for a 7:30 PM Single Game Wednesday May 28th. We then open Wisconsin State League play with a 4 game series with the Defending Wisconsin State League Champions Lombard, IL Orioles. Saturday May 31st a Doubleheader starting at 4:00 Pm. Saturday May 31st is designated Scout night with all scouts and troop leaders in uniform admitted free. We finish the series with a Sunday June 1st Doubleheader starting at 1:00. Admission is $3.00 per adult and $5.00 per family Saturday and Sunday with all youth under the age of 18 admitted free. Please come out and support your local team.
