The Eau Claire Cavaliers opened their 39th Season with a 2 Wins and 3 losses in the their opening week end.  The Cavaliers opened with a 6-5 loss at Coon Valley/Chaseburg with the home team scoring 2 runs in the bottom of the 9th inning to pull out the win.  The Cavaliers split a 4 game home series with the Melrose Park Indians from Melrose Park, Illinois.  Sunday the Cavaliers rallied from a 6-1 deficit to close the lead to 6-5 but the Indians scored a run in the top of the seventh to hold on 7-5.  In the second game the Cavaliers withstood a rally in the top of the seventh to hold on for a 2-1 victory.  Monday the Cavaliers tied the game at 2-2 only to see the Indians score 2 runs in the top of the seventh to hold on for a 4-2 victory.
