Wink threw a no-hitter in front of 1150 fans to cap off a great Promotion Night. T.J walked 5 and struck out 11 in the 5-1 win over the Sparta Millers.  Wink improved his record to 2-0 and was backed by some great defensive plays to preserve the no-hitter. One was a play by T.J. on a bunt between he and Lance Poppy at first base and T.J. tracked it down and tossed to Lance Poppy at first to throw out the runner by a half step. On the next play Sparta’s Geoff Laudon grounded into the left side hole and shortstop Ben Otto fielded the ball and threw a bullet to first to record the out and preserve the no-hit bid.  In the ninth inning Wink forced two groundouts and a strike out to finish the no-hitter. Wednesday the Cavaliers traveled to Osseo to face the Osseo Merchants in a 7:30 Single game. The Cavaliers used a balanced attack to come away with a 7-2 victory to improve their overall season record to 9 and 8 and their League Record is 5-6.
