The Eau Claire Cavaliers traveled to Marshfield Wed June 9th and even a late start didn’t slow down the Cavaliers. They beat Marshfield 18-1 in seven innings.  Saturday the Cavaliers split a WSL Doubleheader with Lombard losing the first game 3-1 and coming back to win the second game 2-0 featured by Matt Millers’ steal of home in the sixth inning to plate the winning run. Ty Fadness went 3-5 and T.J. Wink allowed 2 hits, three walks struck out four in earning the win   Sunday the Cavaliers also split a WSL Doubleheader with Lombard losing the first game 2-1 after rallying in the bottom of the seventh to have the winning runs on base but could not come through with a clutch hit. Brent Mueller took the hard luck loss scattering 8 hits with six in the first three innings.  In the second game the Cavaliers scored 3 runs in the second inning and went on to win 5-1 and even their season record at 5-5 and WSL record at 4-3. Ben Otto led the Cavaliers in offense going 2-for-2 with a walk and RBI. Otto scored three of the five Cavalier runs. The Cavaliers play at Augusta Wednesday June 16 at 7:30 PM and travel to Kenosha for a WSL Doubleheader Saturday June 19 starting at 4:00 PM and a WSL Doubleheader Sunday June 20 starting at 12:00PM.  The Cavaliers return home to play the US 9 Armed Forces Team Monday June 21 game time at 7:30PM.  Please check for complete results of all games at www.leadertelegram.com/blogs  

The Cavaliers will celebrate their 40th Season on July 30th and July 31st with a Reunion Weekend.  The Cavaliers play a single game with the Sparta Millers on Friday July 30th at 7:30 PM and a single game with Hastings, MN Saturday July 31st at 1:00PM. The Cavaliers will have a Reunion Banquet at the Plaza Hotel and Suites with cocktails at 6:00 and dinner at 7:00 with a program to follow and please welcome back our former players, former managers, coaches, board members, batboys and batgirls. The cost of the banquet is $20.00 for a single and $37.00 for a couple and kids age 10 and under $9.00. We look forward to seeing everyone.
