The Eau Claire Cavaliers opened their 40th Season on the road with a loss 8-6 at Coon Vally/Chaseburg, as a six run rally fell short in the top of the ninth inning as the Cavaliers lost their season opener.  The Cavaliers Doubleheader against Bangor on Sunday May 30th was postponed.  The Cavaliers fell behind 6-0 on Monday May 31st to the Eau Claire Bears and could not get their bats going against former Cavalier Pitcher Matt Lunde and fell to 0-2 with a 7-3 loss. Ben Sebesta was 2 for 4 with a double and 2 RBI’s.  The Cavaliers open up their Wisconsin State League action June 5th with a Doubleheader at Addison Ill. Game time 5:00PM and Sunday June 6th in a Doubleheader starting at 12:00 PM. The Cavaliers travel to Marshfield June 9th for a single game with the Chaparrals at 7:30 PM. The Cavaliers will celebrate their 40th Season on the weekend of July 30th and July 31st with a Reunion Weekend.  The Cavaliers play a single game with the Sparta Millers on Friday July 30th at 7:30 PM and a single game with Hastings, MN Saturday July 31st at 1:00PM. The Cavaliers will have a Reunion Banquet at the Plaza Hotel and Suites with cocktails at 6:00 and dinner at 7:00 with a program to follow and please welcome back our former players, former managers, coaches, former board members batboys and batgirls. The cost of the banquet is $20.00 for a single and $37.00 for a couple and kids age 10 and under $9.00. We look forward to seeing everyone.
