2009 Winter Awards Dinner - 01/28/2010 03:13 PM
On Saturday January 23, 2010 the Wisconsin State Baseball League had their Winter Awards Dinner at The Bull Golf and Supper Club in Sheboygan. The Eau Claire Cavaliers were awarded their second place plaque and Brad Archambeau was selected first team outfield. He finished second to Lombard’s Nate Roberts for League MVP, who led the league with a .421 batting average. Brad’s batting average was .376 and he tied a long-standing record for triples with 6. Mark McHorney Cavaliers Manager was second to Jeff Vukovich for manager of the year award with 14 votes to Jeff’s 16. Matt Miller was third in batting with a .370 batting average and was selected to the second team as a second baseman. Ty Fadness was selected to the second team as an outfielder and Phil Isaacson was selected to the second team as the left-handed pitcher with a 4-1 record and an ERA of 2.70. Kenosha’s Jon Olsen was the unanimous pick as the league’s Most Valuable Pitcher. He had a brilliant year, posting a 0.66 earned run average and a perfect 6-0 record.
